shower power

Welcome to the klemenza archive.

In Shower Power, Klementsen captures the intense sociological friction between rigid industrial discipline and contemporary personal sanctuary. Positioned dead-center in a strict square format, a monumental chrome shower head—an object of daily utility rarely truly observed—commands the space like a modern totem.

Through aggressive digital erosion in Photoshop, the background is transformed into a highly textured, ornamental tile frieze reminiscent of ancient architectural motifs. The deep, reflective chrome acts as an anchor, grounding a psychedelic explosion of magenta, violet, and burnt orange. In its monumental 2x2 meter presentation, the artwork serves as a hyper-vivid monument to domestic evolution, forcing the spectator to confront the invisible comforts of Western civilization through a lens of raw, disruptive pop-art.

The Production Standard:

Engineered on an uncompromising native 15,000-pixel grid (600 DPI) to retain breathtaking micro-textures at monumental museum scales. Produced and finished in Germany by WhiteWall utilizing premium, non-reflective Gallery Aluminum (Alu-Dibond) and museum-grade Acrylic Glass for unparalleled depth and lifelong archival permanence.
