We humans fail to learn from our own history, whether recent or ancient. The mantra that history dictates the future remains prominent, yet state leaders and governments continuously repeat our cyclical failures. In the contemporary cyber age, an immense volume of historical record is instantly accessible, yet we remain un-enlightened. Individual selfishness is well-nourished.
My latest 1/1 original, "LOOK BACK", is an architectural manifesto addressing this collective amnesia.Ā
The converging single-point perspective forces the viewer down a subterranean corridor constructed of highly texturised, gilded bas-relief and fractured tessellated stone. Identical golden masks emerge from the striated wallsāoperating as silent sentinels of civilisational collapseāleading toward an incandescent, nuclear-white portal framing a central, void-like eclipse nucleus.
Locked at an uncompromising 15,000 x 15,000 pixels (600 DPI), the work provides a powerful tactile and philosophical counterweight for contemporary human complacency.

In "LOOK BACK", Morten Klementsen executes a monumental sosiologisk manifestoĀ
coined as Architectural Cyber-Realism. The composition utilizes a severe,Ā
converging single-point perspective, forcing the viewer down a subterraneanĀ
corridor constructed of highly texturized, gilded bas-relief and fracturedĀ
tessellated stone.Ā
Klementsen establishes an intense historical friction. Serene, identicalĀ
golden masks emerge seamlessly from the striated architectural wallsāoperatingĀ
as allegorical sentinels and silent documentations of human sociopolitical amnesia.Ā
