USA
The Wild West never died. It just got wrapped in neon.
As a critical artist tracking socio-political friction, I cannot stay silent about the empire on everyone’s lips. The United States is undergoing a deep, structural decline—a fact confirmed to me recently by family visiting from the US.
To Europe, America has become a strange, volatile phenomenon. A place where double standards are twice as good as standard morality. We watch the wealthiest 1% accumulate obscene riches while the middle class is systematically wiped out. There is a dangerous lack of maturity at the wheel of the world's most significant nation.
My latest 1/1 Masterwork, THE NEW WILD WEST, isolates this hypocrisy. It comments on the ultimate anthropopolitical irony: confining the original, real Americans to reservations, only to facilitate them with neon-lit casinos. The political kings do as they please, ruling over a young nation built on corporate greed and historical amnesia.
Rendered at an uncompromising native 15,000 x 15,000-pixel grid (600 DPI) in my Bergen studio, I manually carved out this apocalyptic friction pixel by pixel. The glowing, corporate casino cuts through the dark, scarred earth like a neon knife, while the silent keepers of the land watch from the shadows.
Ahead of the XVI Florence Biennale 2027, this piece stands as a raw, contemporary warning.

Is the decline of the modern empire irreversible, or is there an adult left in the room?
