"Urban Planning: Where Ambition Meets Reality"
๐ ๏ธ๐๏ธ In every city, thereโs a story told by the spaces we build โ but sometimes, the dream doesn't match the reality. This piece, created with AI and digital refinement, delves into the challenges faced in modern urban planning and the consequences of rushing development without considering the full picture. Urban Planning is a visual exploration of a failed public-private partnership and the aftermath of ambitious construction gone wrong.
The mix of sleek, modern design and unforeseen flaws symbolizes the complexity of building our future โ and the risk of losing sight of what truly matters in the process.

STORY: URBAN PLANNING
The city of Cavencina, Spain, agreed to an initiative from a private developer group to join a private public partnership in the old part of the city that needed redevelopment. Now I have nothing against urban planners as people, but sometimes things go quickly in the curves, especially when the city stands for guarantees to its private partner. Here we see the result of construction phase one. I made this piece of art from a drone. 80% of the apartments in the complex phase one were sold and signed before construction started. Now the self-righteous residents are complaining to the municipality, which is again demanding that the private partner back down. The balconies in this complex are, among other things, built upside down, there is an 8-lane highway right next to the apartment buildings. This case has not been fully processed, but one of the worst things a city or municipality can do is private public contracts. Many know how easy it is for the private company to transfer money to the Holding Company, and then bankrupt the company that entered into the agreement - Ergo, it is the municipality's responsibility, and they do not have very good lawyers. No one can live in this apartment that is built upside down, and how this could happen without anyone reacting is unknown. Be careful in the housing market! Not all, but many municipalities have experienced large losses in private public construction contracts. The private ones have top lawyers who write contracts that disclaim liability, , Many people probably know about this. It must be strange for a tourist to drive past this area?
