Growing up, I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by an extended family. My wonderful, helpful parents taught us children that the most important thing is to give—to help others. It is a marvelous feeling. During my years in business, I have also mentored aspiring entrepreneurs, and I still receive positive feedback regarding the lessons I instilled in them—without coercion, of course. We must all acknowledge that we need to give, and sometimes receive, help. It is a yin-yang, win-win situation. The people you help might not help you in return, but through the universal system that connects heaven and earth, you receive unexpected help when you need it. Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone; you *must* give in order to receive, in keeping with the Golden Rule. It has been a blessing in my life so far—and after all, it costs nothing to give positive feedback to others, whether in a shop or to a stranger who seems to be struggling. Being a "lover of humanity" carries a responsibility, and I certainly don't claim to possess the absolute truth or a recipe for a good life. But helping others—with absolutely no ulterior motives—helps me, too. We are all just ordinary human beings, whether we are royalty or among those who struggle from time to time. Take care and help and get help!
