Two ducks.

Former schoolmates who walked out of the classroom the day the theory became unbearable.

They settled by the Elbe in Hamburg, took over an old wooden dock in the maritime district, and started fixing private motorboats. Oil changes. Minor repairs. Cash only. No receipts. No questions.

The authorities have tried to close them down more than once. Every time, the two scoundrels simply fly or swim away, only to return when the coast is clear.

Food in the sea is scarce these days. So Harry and Fred do what they have to.

Two ducks in raincoats stand on a wet, weathered dock in the fog of Hamburg’s harbour. Behind them, silent ships wait in the mist.

Harry and Fred are not cute. They are survivors. School dropouts who traded theory for diesel and cash. They repair motorboats on an abandoned wooden pier by the Elbe — oil changes, small fixes, no paperwork. When the authorities come, they simply vanish into the water or the sky.

This is not a children’s story.

It is a quiet portrait of adaptation, street smarts, and the grey zone where necessity becomes business.
