There are many people in today's society who absolutely must look like one movie hero after another. Our appearance marginalizes many people into feeling like outsiders in society. I know a guy who has an extremely large and long nose. He carries it with dignity and is confident like few others. On one occasion, this acquaintance asked his doctor why he had such a big nose. The doctor smiled and replied that we are only human. Some have big ears, some have big heads, others have bulging eyes. There is something "wrong" with all of us, compared to the movie heroes. So says the doctor, but so-called pretty people often have invisible problems. If we take all the pluses and all the minuses, we are fortunately all independently unique people. Let's live with it and take it less seriously, shall we?

It-was-then-violent? Sometimes you just have to look at reality from a completely alternative perspective. Mastered within my native square grid of 15,000 x 15,000 pixels (600 DPI density) from a 3-year matured archive file on my klippedesk today, "BAD HAIR DAY" records a severe visual study regarding sociological marginalization and individual sovereignty.
The visual matrix captures a brutal daily mirror confrontation. There are many people in today's society who absolutely must look like one commercialized movie hero after another—a tørr habit that marginalizes unique individuals into feeling like outsiders. But if we take all the pluses and all the minuses, we are fortunately all independently unique people. By combining advanced post-production with heavy dramatic chiaroscuro, the composition locks a striking contrast between a burning amber luminescent face and dense, high-density sand noise structures. And let’s be honest—when your face is melting into a corporate vault, your hair is probably the least of your concerns. Let's live with it and take it less seriously, shall we?
